Job Summary: The Aaron Hur Group would like to present an exciting opportunity at one of Orange County, CA's best university model academy! Spirit Christian Academy is looking for part-time, experienced lower elementary teachers.
SCA is a University Model School; teachers teach on campus 3 days a week (Tues-Wed-Thur) and then provide lesson plans for parents on home education days (Mon-Fri). The University-Model combines the best attributes of traditional schooling with the best attributes of homeschooling and integrates them into one model. The result is quality, cost-effective, college-preparatory education that gives parents more time for imparting their own faith and values to their children.
In partnership with one another, parents and the school work together toward a mutual goal: to produce wholesome, competent, and virtuous followers of Christ who will change the world in their generation. A university model elementary school teacher is responsible for developing an overall Christian worldview, cultivating a welcoming classroom environment, creating and executing lesson plans in the classroom, observing and evaluating student performance, and grading homework and tests. The elementary teacher establishes an integral partnership with the parents by keeping them informed of the students' emotional and intellectual progress.The ultimate goal is that of producing wholesome, competent men and women of character who make a positive difference for Christ in the next generation.
This provides families with more time at home than traditional schooling, but also allows for the power of the classroom in a child’s education. University-Model schools also integrate challenging academics with Christ-like character development. They affirm the parents’ role as the primary influence in their children’s lives by redirecting time from the school back to the family.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (Bachelor’s degree in elementary education preferred)
Elementary classroom experience preferred
Computer Skills (word processing skills, Google suite, electronic presentation skills, internet navigation skills, email management, etc.)
Compensation: (Part Time role based on experience and education)
